About Dues and Supplies
The troop collects annual dues (in addition to the annual registration you pay to the National office). In addition to annual dues, Navigator & Adventurer Trailmen must also make a one-time purchase of supplies needed for advancement. Following are descriptions of these fees:
Troop Dues (All Trailmen)
Local troop dues are $68 per Trailman. These dues cover an annual assessment of $20 per Trailman that the local troop must pay to the national office, as well as the cost of various awards and achievements the boys may earn during the year.
Troop Supplies (Navigators & Adventurers)
Troop Standard
The troop standard is an ornamental walking stick that is used by the Trailmen in the Navigator and Adventurer units to display their achievements. This is a one time purchase made when your Trailman joins one of these units. The cost of the troop standard is $45.
Trailman’s Handbook
The Trailman’s handbook is for Trailmen in the Navigator and Adventurer units. This handbook contains a wealth of information about the program and the advancement requirements. It is also used to keep track of the trail badge and advancement work the boys complete as the program progresses. All Trailmen are required to have a handbook. The cost of the handbook is $17.
Paying Dues and Purchasing Supplies
Dues and supplies purchases are collected through our online payment portal administered by Zeffy.com. This payment platform allows non-profits, such as our troop, to collect payments from its members free of charge for both the members and the organization. Zeffy covers its operating costs through voluntary donations from payers.
NOTE: When you pay your dues, or purchase items, a suggested donation will be automatically added to your transaction. If you do not wish to donate to Zeffy when making your payment, select the drop down for the donation, choose “other”, and leave the field for the amount empty. If you wish to donate to Zeffy at a lesser amount, you may enter an amount in this field.
